About Michael:

I am a representational oil painter specializing in urban and plein air landscapes. Most of my paintings are started in the field and finished in my studio. I am one of those artists who loved art from a very early age. I will always remember that first trip I made to an art museum when I was very young and being absolutely mesmerized by all the artwork, especially the colorful and expressive impressionist work. 

I am a signature member of Laguna Plein Air Painter Association and have been juried and placed in various shows and art competitions including LPAPA, California Art Club, Huse Skelly Gallery, San Clemente Plein Air, Oceanside Museum of Art, Fallbrook Plein Air, and Randy Higby small work show.

About California Wine Tasting: 

Wine tasting is a flourishing business in California due to the many lush vineyards throughout the state.  In this composition I wanted to portray the experience of a vineyard with friends sharing a moment together engaging in conversation, listening to music, sharing a dance, and sipping wine while taking in the great outdoors in the shade of a tree.
