Artists Statement
When I paint, I feel alive - real. Before putting my brush to canvas, I sense a strong emotion that I want to show but still have not found words for it. I observe nature, enjoying the changing light that plays with the colors I see. I am inspired by the beauty around me, which is why I try to work from nature. In my Modern Impressionistic Paintings, I connect emotional ''impasto'' brushstrokes and transparent fluid oil color, breathing life into the canvases. I want the audience, looking at my paintings, to be distracted from the daily hustle and enjoy the beauty of ordinary things, feeling for a moment childish delight.
