FREE Artists Discussions Series.

Artists Guild and Liberty Station artists are encouraged to bring artwork to present to the audience during the first hour. This is an excellent opportunity to network with other artists and view each other’s works.

11 a.m. – Artist Janet Lee
Subject:  Medieval Painting on Glass

Janet is a printmaker, painter, photographer and graphic designer.  Born in Yorkshire, England, she studied graphic design at Batley School of Art. She then continued her studies at West Midlands University in Graphic Design, Art History, Printmaking, and Film, resulting in a B.A. in Visual Communications.  After moving to San Diego in 1977, Janet started a business creating art in public spaces, enrolled in printmaking courses at SDSU, and taught art classes at several San Diego schools.  She has been juried into numerous exhibitions in the San Diego area, London, England, and Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic.  She recently took a master class at the University of York in order to study the techniques of medieval painting on glass and intends to continue exploring the possibilities of this ancient technique.
