We cordially invite you to join us for our FREE Artists Discussions Series.

Artists Guild and Liberty Station artists are encouraged to bring artwork to present to the audience during the first hour. This is an excellent opportunity to network with other artists and view each other’s works.

11 a.m. –   Creating Monotypes with Angelika Villagrana, Printmaker

monotype is a one of a kind, hand-pulled print.  We will roll black oil based ink onto a plastic plate.  To create the image, you will be using brushes, rags, sharp pointed sticks, etc., to remove the ink partially to expose certain areas.  Once you are happy with your design, we will run the image through an etching press with dampened rag paper. Every attendee will leave with at least one monotype.  Materials (plates, ink, paper, drawing materials) will be provided.

There is no charge, however reservations are required by Friday noon, September 7. Please click Register at the left, or RSVP to Angelika Villagrana, (619) 222-1034 or gelikavillagrana@gmail.com
