ENTRY SUBMISSION GUIDELINES All entries are submitted online. Images should be uploaded in JPEG (.jpg) format of at least 700 px on the short side, and less than 2 MB.  Entry fee will be paid through the Artists Guild shopping cart prior to uploading your entry.  


In order to participate in an Artists Guild competition, you must have a Participant Profile registered on our site.  If you do not have an account on the site, please first Create a Guest Account. Then follow these simple steps:  (Artists Guild Members, your information will be pulled from your existing artist’s profile. Please follow the steps below to verify the contact information and add your phone number.) 

  1. Login to the site.
  2. Click My Account
  3. Click the Edit tab
  4. Click Participant Info tab
  5. Fill in all required information and 
  6. Click SAVE

    This Participant Info profile will be used for this and any future SDMAAG competition that you enter. You only need to complete this information once.

Now you are ready to enter the competition! 

First, you must make your payment.  Click here to make payment for the current show.


After completing your payment, return to the SDMAAG website to continue uploading your artwork entry.

  1. Login if you are not already logged in.
  2. Click on My Account
  3. Click View Participation tab
  4. Click link to Add New Entry.
  5. Enter information for each entry and upload your image.
  6. SAVE your entry. Saving submits your entry to the competition. You may return to the View Participation tab to review or edit your entry as many times as you like until the entry deadline.

The San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild sponsors competitive art exhibitions and group exhibitions several times every year. Check this page for current "call to artist" link, or to see results from previous exhibitions.


Specific themes, eligibility and restrictions, awards and entry fees vary and are included in the prospectus for each competition.  Entry process is the same for all competitions.  Consider creating your participant profile now for future competitions.  This will ensure that you are on the mailing list when we send out notification that a new call for entries has been posted.
