There are many wonderful parks in the San Diego, California area where I live. Marion Bear Park extends along Route 52 between the 5 and 805 freeways just east of La Jolla. The section where this photograph was taken is nearest to the 805 freeway. By parking in the small parking lot on Genesee Avenue and walking across the stream when the water is not too high, I reached a path that led me to these imposing live oak trees and the fresh spring grass. Because it was spring, the grass was so brilliant green that was hard to believe it was real. The way it contrasted against the dark blacks and browns of the trees made it even seem more brilliant. I used my Canon Rebel XTI digital camera for this image.
To give my photographs a quality akin to a fine oil painting, I print them on medium-weight artist quality mat canvas and ship them ready for stretching and framing. The inks used to make the print are light fast and permanent and should last for well over 100 years. I spray a protective coating over the canvas to ensure that the image will have a long lifetime. This photograph is available in other sizes and on other media to suit your individual tastes and needs by contacting me with the email above.
