In our previous house, we had a space above the fireplace, and my spouse, commissioned me to make an artwork for the blank space. I accepted the commission and measured the blank wall, and made a frame, and stretched the canvas, and prepared it. The spring was beautiful; everything was coming to life, the sky was waking everything up, with the storms, wind, and sunshine. I crosshatched various colors at random, with Prismacolor on canvas, and another layer of grid with pen and ink, and called it “summer storm”. This work turned out to be my wife’s favorite.
